Privacy

Movie Locations Map has no accounts, no login and no newsletter. There is nothing to sign up for, so there is very little to say here.

What the site stores about you

Nothing on our side. The site is a set of static files and a few JSON data files. We do not run a database of visitors.

Your location

The "Near me" button asks your browser for your position, and your browser asks you first. If you say no, the map carries on as normal. If you say yes, the coordinates are used in your browser to sort the nearest locations and are never sent to us or stored.

Third parties

• OpenFreeMap serves the map tiles, so your browser requests tiles from their servers as you pan and zoom.
• Wikimedia Commons serves the photographs, so your browser requests images from them.
• Google Fonts serves the two typefaces.

Each of those sees a normal web request from your browser, as any embedded resource would. We do not pass them anything about you.

Advertising

Pages other than the map carry blank ad slots. If advertising is switched on later, this page will be updated to name the provider before any ad code runs. See the cookies page for what gets stored in your browser.
