Movie Locations Map does not run advertising or analytics yet, so there is no tracking cookie to disclose. This page explains exactly what the site itself stores in your browser, and what the outside resources it loads may set on their own.

What this site stores

One thing: your language choice for the interactive map. If you pick a flag in the map's language switcher, that choice is saved in your browser's local storage (not a cookie, a similar same-origin mechanism) so the map opens in that language next time. It is never sent to our server and never shared between visitors.

What this site does not do

• No account, no login, so no session cookie.
• No analytics or advertising cookie at the time of writing.
• No cross-site tracking, no advertising ID, no fingerprinting.

Third parties that may set their own

A few resources on the page are requested directly from someone else's server, the same way any embedded image or script is. Each may set its own cookies under its own domain, governed by its own policy, not ours:

• OpenFreeMap – serves the map tiles.
• Wikimedia Commons – serves the photographs.
• Google Fonts – serves the two typefaces.

We do not control what these set and do not read anything back from them.

If advertising is switched on later

If we add an ad network, it will typically set its own cookies to serve and measure ads, and visitors in the UK/EEA/Switzerland will be shown a consent banner before any of that runs. This page will be updated first, naming the network and what it stores, and the consent banner will link back here.

Controlling cookies and local storage

Every browser lets you block or clear cookies and site data, in its privacy or site settings. Clearing this site's data simply resets your language choice back to English; nothing else is affected.
